"Greetings from.....Double Clutch Gulch"

Double Clutch Gulch is a distinct locale within Carburetor County, situated past the mountain range of the Ornament Valley district. This area is designed to evoke the ambiance of a western abandoned oil refinery and fields. It's the power source of the Ornament Valley, just running on auto pilot, petrol/benzine engines fueled by the oil rigs, generate power and supply the entire valley, mainly Radiator Springs as it's not that power demanding, Sarge and Mater would once a while check it out, maintain the engines, and let it run on autopilot. This place got abandoned when Ornament Valley was cut off, but by necessity it runs by itself almost like a ghost town.

History[]

As described in National Parks-style signage at Cars Land:

"Rich in legend and lore, this gulch contains many historical treasures including petrol-glyphs. Here, wild tractors roam and john deere play."

The World of Cars Online[]

In The World of Cars Online, Double Clutch Gulch remains an unreleased location, positioned to the north of Fillmore's Fields.

Trivia[]

  • The term "petrol-glyphs" is a clever play on words, combining "petrol" (meaning gasoline or oil) with "glyphs" (ancient rock carvings). This suggests a connection between the petroglyphs and the oil industry, perhaps hinting at the historical relationship between the land and its valuable resources. It raises questions about the interplay between ancient cultures, the land's natural resources, and the modern developments that have taken place over time.
