Vern is the owner of Vern's Taxi Service. He appears at the Los Angeles International Speedway in Cars, entering the stadium to watch the tie-breaker Piston Cup race between Lightning McQueen, Chick Hicks, and Strip Weathers.
He is an Emerycraft Lima that is painted maroon, with a white sign on his roof that reads "Vern's". His license plate reads "902 10R".

"Vern is the owner and sole employee of Vern's Taxi Service in Sonoma. He guides tourists through the beautiful gourmet oil country, and after a day of tasting all Northern California has to offer, he guides them safely back to their quaint G&B's - that's garage and breakfasts."[1]
